Apply multiple transformation matrices
The "Apply Transformation" tool seems that only 1 transformation matrix is possible at a time. I apply multiple transformations to clouds (in sequence) and have been just copy/pasting sequentially from the console. Is it possible to apply multiple at a time? Or would it be possible to add ...

CC quits unexpectedly during point picking, MAC
Macbook Pro M1, 64 GB Ram Cloud Compare Version 2.13 alpha Using point-picking alignment tool, with 2 large-ish clouds (95 million points and 130 million points respectively), once clouds are aligned via the point picking feature, and I click ok to register the changes, CC quits unexpectedly. Tried ...

Re: MacOS compatibility (M1)
Hi Daniel, thanks for reply (and happy new year!) I will post on Github. I'm not sure if its my Mac. I have the feeling that its not my Mac per se (CC was fairly sluggish even when computer was new). Maybe there is some compatibility with the Mac chip. But I'm out of my depth on that. I just know CC...

MacOS compatibility (M1)
Hi Daniel, I'm wondering if its possible/feasible to make a global setting in CC that would ask it as default to use only 1 core on all operations. I'm on the M1 Max with 64 GB and have persistent freezing (not crashing) issues with a variety of tools. Even something simple like deleting layers with...

Re: Export classified point clouds
Hi All, following this thread. My question is related but different. Is there any way to export label information, such as coordinate? It seems that it is impossible, even, to copy/paste the label data fields such as coordinates. My workflow is below, and I'm wondering if anyone has an idea how I co...

RASTER to Point Cloud, slope angle
Just a quick tip, after looking for a long time for good solution. If you need to create a scalar field on your points based on data from another raster, follow this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmNkVIXhJo8 For example, I want to see slope angle as a scalar field on my cloud. CC can't c...

Alignment and registration of changing surface
1) I'm trying to register/align clouds from archival imagery to recent lidar-generated. The surfaces are large glaciated mountain faces, and or rock faces where significant rockfall has occurred. It is possible in either case, for me to identify stable areas for point picking. However my question is...

Freezes during common tasks
CC v2.13alpha Macbook Pro M1 Max 64 GB RAM Frequent freezing (not recovering) while manipulating large point clouds, 250,000,000 points. Not sure if there is anything I can do differently. Its even on simple tasks like translate/rotate. I haven't worked on a PC much, is this a problem with the MAC p...

SFM scaled to LIDAR
I'm scaling SFM models (made from old (50-110 yr old images) to modern lidar point clouds. The models are of large mountain walls and glaciers, and the goal is to identify volume change over time. Specific questions I have include: 1) How best to align models in which I expect large areas to have si...
