Re: Unexpected M3C2 Results/Parameter Optimization
Hi Daniel, thanks for your response - I'm not sure how best to display the normal for inspection, I know there is a 'toggle normals' option when I right click on a cloud though this doesn't display them as a vector so it is hard to tell. I also updated the "preferred direction" argument to...

Unexpected M3C2 Results/Parameter Optimization
Hi everyone, I'm running M3C2 in CC on some coastal cliffs and have some interesting results I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on. We have LiDAR point cloud of pre and post rockfall clouds that look like this: (light blue being the pre-event surface, red being the post-event) hjW...

Re: CANUPO differences between GUI/Command Line
I do see the console registering the confidence level so that's not the problem. I'm now able to get much more similar results but they're still slightly different. In command line mode I get this: Screenshot 2022-12-19 140906.png While in the GUI I get this: Screenshot 2022-12-19 141108.png Both ar...

CANUPO differences between GUI/Command Line
Hello all, I'm attempting to classify vegetation on a LiDAR survey of some cliffs using CANUPO - I've trained a classifier that works well but I get much different results when classifying in the GUI vs through command line. Using the GUI, I set my confidence level to 0.8 and I get this: Screenshot ...

Re: Command Line Set SF by NAME
Hmm can't seem to get it to work, I think its just powershell's treatment of the quotation marks - I should be able to get by using the index though. One other related question, I'm trying to get rid of vegetation using CANUPO before running M3C2 - is there a best practice for filtering a cloud afte...

Re: Command Line Set SF by NAME
Curious if this has been implemented yet - I see the option on the cloud compare wiki but when I try to use '-set_active_sf', 'CANUPO.class' it says the name is invalid. I'm using powershell and have tried variations '-CANUPO.class' '"Canupo.class"' etc and nothing works - I can use SF 4 f...

Re: Command Line Mode Using Powershell
Great thank you, I've been able to get this working, apologies for the rookie questions, I'm learning powershell as I go along with this project - I appreciate your help!

Command Line Mode Using Powershell
Hi everyone, I'm attempting to write scripts in the powershell ise to automate some CC functions and I'm running into some difficulties. I was able to open clouds using the command line, but when I try to run any CloudCompare functions in powershell I am getting errors. Has anyone had issues with th...

Re: Cliff Change/Volumetric Calculations
Yes! I meant Poisson Surface Recon - I actually just found the label connected components section this morning, exactly what I was looking for, thank you! I now have folders of erosion/accretion objects and am trying to apply Poisson to each one to extract the volumes, is there a way to apply a plug...

Forum posts don't work?
Hello, I've been trying to post a few questions about a project I'm doing in CC but every time it says it must be reviewed by a moderator before posting and then hasn't gotten posted yet - its been a few days since my first post and just want to make sure I'm posting correctly - I've seen people get...
