Hello Daniel,
lately I figured out that loading a point cloud as an ASCII txt-file solves the mentioned problem (not to be able to pick points).
I try to keep you up to date if I notice anything else.

Re: Point picking problem
Hello Daniel, I think I have the same problem. I think he means the "Pick rotation center" tool. But the point picking in general is affected too. And it isn't the problem with to many points at a space (zooming in doesn't solve the problem). This is really weird because in my case differe...

Re: Normal to HSV considering both dip direction and dip ang
Oh I'm sorry. It confused me that convert to Dip/Dip Direction shows right away as a scalar field and convert to HSV is just a color at the beginning. Thanks a lot!

Normal to HSV considering both dip direction and dip angle
Hello Daniel, another request for your todo-list ;). It would be nice to have the posibility to convert normals to slope (considering dip direction and dip angle at the same time). This is functionality often implemented in GIS software working with digitial elevation models. A LIDAR software that h...

Filter for DB Tree
Hello Daniel, a filter for the DB Tree would be very nice. For example if you use the RANSAC-Plugin you get multiple (hundreds, thousands, ...) files as an output stored in a tree. For example if you want to export a certain kind of a data (contour points) right now you need to expand the branch and...

Re: Export Dip direction - Dip angle from planes
Hello Daniel, hello everyone, as I wanted to export plane orientation and the size of multiple planes (for example from planes computed by the RANSAC Plugin), Daniel sent me some code lines to do this. Here is the solution and how I implemented the code (bold) . This may help for example geologists ...

Re: Export Dip direction - Dip angle from planes
Hi Daniel,
I talked to one of my tutors. After we spent hours of trying to import the planes in other software without any worthwhile results, we decided to try the compilation. If your offer for a few code lines is still current, we will be very glad!

Re: Export Dip direction - Dip angle from planes
Hi Daniel,
I'm sorry but I don't have any software writing skills yet. I am going to talk to my one of my tutors who has some. Maybe he knows how much work it'll be and if it's worth it for my thesis. At least for now I will copy it manually. Thank you for your quick help though.

Export Dip direction - Dip angle from planes
Hello Daniel, first of all I want to thank you for this super piece of software and for your support. I use the software (Cloudcompare & the Ransac Shape Detection Plugin) for my master thesis in applied geology to detect rock faces in point clouds. To my question: How can I export the "dip...
