Re: Volume calculations of stock piles and quarries
Hi Daniel, I am using this opportunity to kindly ask you if there are any plans to realise your thoughts on exporting the cell values in the near future releases? I am just asking because this would be really helpfull to visualise deformations - not just where they are but also which kind of deforma...

Alignment two point clouds
Hi, I have made the experience that registering subsets of larger (in terms of spatial point distribution) point clouds and then applying the transformation to the original data cloud works best for my purposes. However, now I've got a dataset where, when applying the transformation matrix, the data...

Re: curvature analysis
Thanks for your thorough answer. I am just wondering if there is kind of a rule of thumb; like for instance the ratio of wavelength and resolution - a quater of the wavelength equals the resolution. So if I want to visualise objects in my point cloud that have a certain extent, how do I set the the ...

Translate/rotate and Export
Hi, this might be a silly question but I cannot make it... I've got a LiDAR scan of a surface which is not entirely vertical. So, I though I could rotate the cloud constrained to the X-axis. The result in CC after confirmation is ok. For further processing in a GIS I need to export the data as a tex...

Re: Volume calculations of stock piles and quarries
Hi Daniel,
I tried the Volume function as well. I think it works very well! However, the Background color changes from black to white when closing the tool.
Another suggestion would be to make the resulting grid values available as a scalar for better cross checking

yeah, tried that but sadly no changes.
BTW are there any changes to the Animation plugin in 2.6.3?

Re: CC crashes when using 3DConnexion SpaceMouse
Hi Daniel, I had no such crashes since using the perspective mode. I am on 3DxWare 10 v10.2.9, with WinCore version 17.2.9.11812. It's a SpaceMouse Pro (Frimware v. 4.35). So there are some differences to yours but however, I think the crashes that I had even if using the perspective mode were due t...

Re: CC crashes when using 3DConnexion SpaceMouse
Thanks for your quick answers!
I installed the new beta now and it crashed again. And actually, it crashed just while moving the point loud. I do not use the buttons on the mouse.
However, I switched to perspective mode and it stays stable for the last 5 minutes
