Re: Command Line Use
Hello Daniel, I have a bit similar problem with CC command line. I'm trying to compare Cloud2Mesh. Here is the command: "C:\Program Files\CloudCompare\CloudCompare.exe" -O -GLOBAL_SHIFT AUTO cloudfile.las -O -GLOBAL_SHIFT AUTO modelfile.ply -c2m_dist The problem I got, is that mesh and clo...

Re: View point clouds created with Agisoft Photoscan
Hi Axel, Can you check the coordinate system in Photoscan export properties? If you have WGS-84, then your X and Y coordinates will be very small regarding to the Z (because you have longitude and latitude in degrees and not X and Y). Point clouds should be in Cartesian coordinate system and not in ...

Re: Noisy surfaces, fine details, old graffiti
Hi Paul, I can clearly see the "RL" and some other letters on the left part of the pointcloud. https://image.ibb.co/mAC9YG/01.png But I can't see anything except some scratches on the right part of the pointcloud. Can you make some screenshot with markings, so we know what to look for? Reg...

Re: Bug with mesh split
Is there a possibility to save scalar value in the triangle and not in the vertex?

Bug with mesh split
Hi Daniel, I have discovered one bug in CC during work with meshes. This is the mesh I work with. It has scalar field. https://image.ibb.co/fxeuwR/mesh_example.jpg I try to split it into two parts, depending on the scalar value. Got this: https://image.ibb.co/m5w7GR/split_mesh.jpg But the area betwe...

HPC format and coordinate grid
Hello Daniel! I have faced few problems and I wanted to ask you if there is possibility to solve it in CloudCompare: 1) Opening Hexagon Point Cloud. Hexagon companies has started to use it in their software and it would be great if CloudCompare can also open it. 2) Is it possible to add grid with co...

Re: Bug with saving large clouds in BIN format
I tried it today five times. With original point cloud, with transformed. With small point clouds (few millions points) everything is OK, but with big one - always problems. Also I noticed one more thing. If I make a transformation of point cloud and save it in PTS, the resulting PTS has the same nu...

Bug with saving large clouds in BIN format
Hello, today I was working with large point clouds (about 1 billion points). Point cloud was imported from PTS. And when I tried to save it in BIN format and then open in CloudCompare again, the point cloud gets "corrupted": After opening I don't see point cloud, scale bar shows something ...

Re: Point cloid reprojection along the path
Hello again. Some new questions raised during work with "unfold" tool. I need to make an analysis on every 20 meters of the unfolded cloud. But I can't find the start of the axis on the unfolded cloud. I thought, that coordinate start (0;0 point) of the unfolded point cloud will be at the ...
