Align two clouds and preserve correct elevations
Hello, I have two point clouds that are two sections of the same gravel bar. I need to align them and merge them into 1 cloud. I have tried doing this using the translate/rotate tool, but this changes the elevations of known points within my cloud (I have permanent GCPs at my site that have been sur...

M3C2-Coordinate System
Hello, Thanks for developing such a useful software and for answering questions! I am using M3C2 to difference point clouds of a river gravel bar at two different times. My point clouds have a real coordinate system (NAD83 Oregon North International ft). When I import them into CC I allow the progra...

Re: Upside down cloud causing problems when exporting to ArcMap
Okay thank you! By upside down I mean that it loads the mirror image of the cloud. How would I be able to change that?

I then try to export the cloud by saving it as a .LAS file so I can create a LAS Dataset in ArcMap. However, when I open the cloud in CloudCompare the cloud is alw...

CANUPO: What are good values for Balanced Accuracy and Fisher Discriminant Ratio for training classifier?
Hello! I am in the process of training classifiers for vegetation and ground point separation. I have trained a classifier that samples 1000 points from each class with steps set at 1 to 10. The result of this was 0 points falsely classified for each class, a Balanced Accuracy of 1, and a Fisher Dis...

CANUPO Acronym?
Is there anywhere I can find a list of what the plugin Acroynyms stand for? Specifically CANUPO. I scanned through the CloudCompare website, the original CANUPO paper, and other references and have been unable to find what CANUPO stands for.
Thanks in advance!
