Is it possible to colorize a pointcloud data using an bmp/jpg image after aligning the image to pointcloud or aligning pointcloud to an image?

I have a got a huge pointcloud file and I wanted to compute geometric feature density (based on number of neighbors). I used a value of 0.1 and let it run overnight and when I came back it was not responding. so I assume it's because the file is too big. any suggestions for that? if I segment this p...

Is it possible to force cloudcompare to load every other line or just load the nth row of a pointcloud file or load the whole file and keep only every nth row?

I like to crop my pointcloud from a center point with a volume that contains certain number of points. for example i pick a point and define number of points (for instance 1500 points) and cloudcompare gives me a spherical volume with that center point that contains that 1500 points.Is that possible...
