Problem viewing .pcd point cloud files

Hello,
I am trying to view some .pcd files in cloudcompare but if i open those files i am not able see anything. what might be the problem?
I am a student who is very new to cloudcompare and pointclouds. so please bare me if this appears as a silly question.

What version are you using and on which OS?

i have installed the latest stable release on my windows 10 pc.
The files can be viewed through Rviz or PCD viewer on my VM but i dono why it isnt opening in cloudcompare. is there any settings to take care for .pcd files??

you can take a look at the screenshot which might give you an idea. I open the files and the screen is just blank.

Can you maybe select one cloud so that we can see its properties? (bounding-box, number of points, etc.). And you can try to zoom on one cloud (with the 'magnifier' icon) in case the clouds are very far from each others?

I just installed CC in another laptop of mine with windows 10 and uploaded the same files, its working fine. I wonder what is the problem.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling CC but still exists the issue. After comparison between the two, i noticed after the installation it wont automatically ask for a restart and the box dimensions of X,Y,Z is inf whereas in the working one X,Y,Z has some values and restart tab pops up automatically. what might have caused this kind of behavior?

Here are several ideas:
- what is your graphic card? Can you maybe disable all fancy options in the Display settings? (scalar field shader, VBOs, etc.)
- are you sure you start the right version of CC and you don't have multiple installations on the first computer?

Graphic card is NVIDIA Quadro M2000M with a good memory. I also tried changing the settings as you mentioned but nothing seems to work and there aren't any multiple installations also.
