Underwater Tunnel Inspection

Post by ugurdemirezen »

Hello everyone,

I'm Ugur. We will perform an underwater tunnel inspection. For this, we will use multibeam sonar, DVL and cable counter. We also have a scanning sonar on the ROV.

I can send the multibeam sonar, dvl and cable counter data files if someone want to check them.

As the Z axis, 0 is coming from the sonar constantly. We want to fill the data of the Z axis with the data from the cable counter in the first stage in order to create a map. As the second step, we will use the dvl and cable counter together and find the depth in this way.

I have a few questions regarding these.

We want to use the time information of the data coming from the Cable Counter and the data coming from the sonar. But they don't always match in the same seconds. How we can solve this problem?

Is it possible to do this mapping in real-time?

Data comes from sonar in .96 format in real-time, how can I convert it to .xyz format in real-time?

Can you help me how I can set the coloring as well as below?
There is no color information in the data from the sonar, how can I edit it?
Image

Thanks

To do this kind of process, and especially in real time, I fear the only solution would be to develop a plugin with some specific code...
