Export without global shift?

Post by studio3lhd »

Hi, I'm new here, name's Jan, nice to meet you!

A quick question, couldn't find the answer anywhere. Is it possible to export a point cloud without global shift?
I want to lose the original coordinates and export them explicitly as they are in cloud compare.

I tried moving the cloud by the inverse amount of the global shift (using "apply transformation"), but it seems to always to the opposite of what I want, no matter if I use the "inverse" checkbox or put +/- in the translation, it always ends up even worse (double the amount of global shift instead of zeroing out).

Thanks in advance, regards

You have to go the 'Edit > Edit global shift & scale'.
See http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... _and_scale.

Then you can reset the global shift to (0,0,0).
