Color Classification

Post by BrunaGarcia »

Hi,
It is possible to classify some colored areas? I put some red spots in my scene and they are tinny but I would be glad to separate them from my cliff. It's complicated to do it with CANUPO because they are flat as my cliff, so they won't separate at all.
I found something in Edit > Colors > Convert to Scalar Field, but not sure how to use it.
Anyone?

Well, you could indeed convert the color to a scalar field so as to remove the points that are red (with the 'Edit > Scalar fields > filter by value' tool).

If you want to remove the points that are mostly red, then you should export both the Green and Blue components as two SFs, then sum them (with the SF arithmetic tool) and eventually the points that are mostly red should have very low G+B values.
