precision of cross section command

Post by Marcuzzo »

Hi Daniel ,

I'm testing the cross section command , and I can not get a section as close as possible to the point cloud measured , perhaps it depends on the noise generated by the scanner , or maybe it depends on the incorrect settings , but the generated section does not reflect the actual section of the wall ... you can give me a help ?

It seems that your (cross) section is way too large. You have to make it quite thin so that only the points you are interested in are projected in 2D (but if it's too thin you won't have enough points ;).

And afterwards, once you are getting something nicer, you can try to reduce the 'max edge length' parameter (don't hesitate to make it very small).
