facets export

Post by matknaak »

Hi,

donno if this has been asked before, but when I generate planar facets (new facet/fracture detection tool) from point clouds, is it possible to save just the facets so I can open them in a different/new CC session? Also, instead of exporting them in a 2D-shape file, is it possible to export the facets as a 3D-vector format such as dxf. And finally, I noticed that when exporting the facets to a csv-file, there are numerous attributes such as surface - is it possible to select facets by these attributes when they are still facets in CC?

cheers

You can save the set of facets as a BIN file (i.e. either select multiple facets or their group if you want to save all of them). You can in fact save anything in BIN files.

And you can only export the 'contours' of the facets as DXF (you can use the 'Select children by type and/or name' option when you right click on the facets group in the DB tree to select only the polyline entities but all at once).

And regarding your last question: nope, there's no such option for now.
