Reporting error

Post by ilovecoffee1125 »

Hello,

1. Is there a way to get cloud to give an error associated with the distance between each point? (I am using the M3C2 plugin and turn the image into a raster to get the distance change.) I need to have an error value to report.

2. If I have 2 scans of the same place, at different times and one has been cut to show the exact area I am interested in; is there a way to copy those "cut" settings to the second image? (It seems this would reduce user error when cutting the second image to the particular location of interest.)

Thank you,

1. You should have a 'confidence' scalar field next to the M3C2 distances one. You can change the 'active' scalar field in the properties of the cloud.

2. You'll have to do it manually I think (with the 'scissors' tool). And if the first cloud has been cut with the 'scissors', then it's possible to save the cutting polyline to apply it on another cloud later.
