how can i reopen or re upload the RMS after saving the file after it had been calculated ? i can open the scalar feild but don't know where to find the calculated RMS ?

The RMS is not stored. See viewtopic.php?t=2138 for a way to compute it again manually.

you mean the rms that is already calculated by the software would be different from the one i calculate manually ?

No, hopefully it should be the same. It's just that you can't retrieve this information other than doing it manually (without computing the distances again).

why is it that when i want to measure the distance between two points the stl file has to be sampled first and i can't do that in a mesh ?
