texturing plane with google map

I want to place a 3d model (stl/ply) and some cube (just primitives made by CC ) on the google map.
I made plane with imported and imported screen short of google map. what should I do further.

How can I do it.

Can't you load the models in google earth instead?

Anyway, you can import an image as a texture mesh (quad) very simply with a PLY file:
