I have a point cloud and I want to georeference it, so that it will be in my coordinate system. What I need to do is a simple translation (X,Y,Z) and rotation (around Z). For this procedure, 2 points are enough.
Is there a way to do this in CloudCompare (like the align tool, but with only 2 points)?

Nope ;)

But as another user suggested a while ago, you can load your cloud as a 2D cloud (you can discard the 'Z' coordinate if you load the cloud from an ASCII file - and alternatively you can replace the 'Z' dimension by a zero scalar field).

Then you can use the Align tool and input 2D points (but you'll still need to input 3 points at least ;).
