Hello Daniel!

I am a beginer of CC.
I would like to use the plugin qFARO_IO_plugin in my CloudCompare 2.6.3, what procedure should I follow?
Running on Windows 7, qFARO_IO_plugin is not in the Plugin menu. The dll exists in in the CloudCompare/plugins folder.
Thanks

Normally to use the FARO plugin you have to use the installer, and check the 'install FARO plugin' option.

Check also that there's a 'cloudcompare.exe.manifest' file next to CloudCompare's executable file.

And last but not least, you can check if there is an error message in the Console regarding this plugin when starting CloudCompare.

Well, seems ok for what I know...

Can you check the list of loaded plugins (Help > About plugins) and see if the Faro plugin is there?

Then you should see the Faro files filter in the loading dialog, don't you?

Ah! You can't do that. The Faro SDK doesn't allow for this...

I don’t know Scene very much, but you should be able to load E57 files at least, can't you?
