Hello!
I'm pretty new in 3D scanning , moving step by step and facing many problems\challenges in this field. I am hoping I can get some answers here.
My scanner idea is to restore the geometry of the object on the light falling on it line.I use stand to scan. The camera is located at some distance, looking at the stand from top to bottom. The process is to successive scan the relief using a laser beam incident on the object.
And here lies the problem: point cloud is very distorted and the reason is not clear to me.

Slice distorted and quite. The red line on the peak is shown as a point must be located. It is clear to me why the slice location have uneven disposition - I have to manually move the laser and with variable speed. But i can't understand what causes distortions. If it were to change the angle of the fall line, I would have gotten a tapered point cloud. Hand tremor also not suitable - it is not visible on the images i guess (or it is?). What could cause such distortions? Sorry if i'm asking such newbie questions, guess i have too little expirience with CC or scanning, but i'm really trying. Thought the problem in the scanner or in my scanning technique, or i'm doing something wrong in the program.

Finally I got access to another scanner, may be problem is in that. I'll post results.
Sorry for bothering.
