Importing OBJ with Color

Hi! I'm writing here as I'm not getting any answers from Cinema 4D forums. I have a particular problem: I am trying to import models created in Cinema 4d to convert them to point clouds using CloudCompare.

I can import an obj no problem, but the accompanying .mat file provides no color.

Here's the twist: importing .obj files made in Sketchup loads the color info from the accompanying .mat file.

Please help. I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this out!

OBJ meshes can only hold per-triangle colors (with materials) or texture color. It doesn't support per-vertex color.

So it depends on how Cinema 4D handles the colors...
