M3C2 parameters and output

Hello,

I'm using M3C2 for my project but I'm confused with the settings.

1- Main parameters. which option to use, use cloud#1 or subsample cloud#1 (there is a default number)
2- Guess params, I keep clicking until when? which value is acceptable? Should both value be the same? how max depth?
3- Normals, what are the difference between them? should I use default or vertical, and it depends on what? and should I click on 'use core points for normal calculation'
4- what is the use of precision maps? it doesn't seem working (it doesn't let me click on the box.
5- Output, which one to use for Project core points on, cloud#1, 2 or keep original positions? what does it mean and it depends on what?
6- Is the volume calculation accurate? and what are the best settings?if one cloud is slightly bigger than the other or do I have to trim it or it only calculates the common points?
6- I have used random settings and I have M3C2 looks as the pic below (plane pic without any topography) I don't know why

Thanks

First, have you read the wiki article and the author's article? (http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... 2_(plugin)). I am not the author of this plugin...

These informations (and a lot of messages on the forum) should help you reduce the number of questions :D.
