Compare three point cloud

Post by Clai_Re »

Hello,

I generated by photogrammetry a point cloud of deux islands with two satellite image SPOT 5. My purpose is to generate a DEM and extract different topographic and hydrologic information.

Now I need to compare three point cloud, the one from SPOT 5, the one from SRTM and the one from contour lines.

I tried to use M3C2 but I didn't really understand the result and I need to compare them with an analyse statistics.

If someone as any ideas i'll be really thankful !

Hum, however M3C2 is definitely a good option ;). It's the more robust and accurate method. Have you read the documentation on the wiki, or even better the scientific article about the M3C2 method? (http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... 2_(plugin))

Otherwise, if one of your clouds is very dense, you could use it as reference for the more simpler 'Cloud-to-cloud' distance computation tool (see http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... d_Distance).
