Rasterized cloud has unexplained holes

I'm trying to create a raster of my point cloud at 1 cm resolution using the average cell height, interpolating with the average cell value, and no resampling (see screenshot of parameters used).

The resulting raster has holes where the original cloud definitely had enough points that it should have been able to get a value... please see the attached screenshot of a zoomed in portion of the original point cloud (white points), rasterized 1 cm cloud (green points), and holes in the rasterized cloud (indicated with red boxes).

Am I doing something wrong when rasterizing this, or is this a bug? Please help! Thank you in advance!!
