Patchiness after merging two .ply images

Hello, I’m new to cloudcompare. When I’m aligning two .ply images (same object from different angles), the overlapping images resulted in patchiness. I tried to erase the color from one image and interpolated color from the other image. However the area without overlapping resulted in no color. How can I fix the problem? Or I should not have used “color interpolate” to deal with the patchiness issue? Thanks a lot.

Can you maybe post an image?

Colors management on overlapping parts of registered meshes may be tricky! And CC is not super strong for mesh / color management anyway.

Have you tried Meshlab to do that? (or even just to fix the issue afterwards?)
