Make a solid with cloudcompare

Post by Robbenbock »

Hello,
i scanned a surface with a shoeprint on it. Now i want to make a coloured 3d-print (material: plaster). Is it possible to generate a solid in cloudcompare with e.g. 4 mm thickness.
Thank You
Robert

Not easily. You can create a closed mesh (depending on your point cloud - with the Poisson Surface Reconstruction plugin). But then I guess you will have to make some adjustments to the resulting mesh (with another software)

Thank You very much, Daniel. Meanwhile I discovered Meshmixer for this purpose. Robert

Where is the mesh mixer found? Poisson is not working
