LAZ file import error

Post by Leon_RITCS »

Hi there, I'm quite new to this but have some aerial laz files that I wan't to use for a film project. (create a flyover animation of a landscape)
I got suggested CloudCompore try this out but I'm struggling with importing my files as I get an error while loading 'the third party library...' and a 'version minor out of range. Again I'm no expert at this but would love to figure it out.
I'm using the latest version on mac and my data is from a government agency recorded between 2013-2015. (I can link or send it if necessary)

Thanks in advance
Leon

You may have to switch the LAS 'I/O filter'. For that, you have to use the 'File > Open' dialog, and in the file type/filter list, choose the 'LAS 1.3 or 1.4' option (it will use another library to load the LAS file, and hopefully it should fix the issue).
