Importing AutoCAD Layer State file

Hi,

I am using cloudcompare and point clouds for the first time, please excuse my simple question!

I have been given a las. file by a surveyor and have been trying to import it into Vectorworks, which hasn't been working. I have come across cloudcompare and hope it can act as the middle-man. However, when I import it into cloudcompare nothing shows up. It imports instantaneously which seems weird as this file is about 3GB. Would anyone have any suggestions please?

Which version of CC are you using?

Do you see some warning/error messages (in red) in the 'Console' part of the screen? (F8 if it doesn't show automatically)
