CC can not open in win11 with AMD processor and RADEON graphic

CC can not open in win11 with AMD processor and RADEON graphic

Hi everyone!!

In my actual job I need to use CloudCompare, but this is my first time using it. The real problem is that I can not open it, I mean that I can install and the installation ends very well, but the programa can not start. Also doesnt apears the folder in the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/CCCORP/CLOUDCOMPARE

My laptop is Acer Model AN515 and has AMD Radeon R7 graphics and AMD FX-9830P processor with windows 11 pro.

Well, if CC fails to even start, then it won't be able to write anything in the registry (but that's probably not the source of the issue ;).

I would guess it's an issue with the graphic card... Have you tried to update the drivers?

Also, CC relies on the Qt framework to manage display. And Qt blacklists old GPUs (especially integrated Intel chipsets or old ATI graphic cards as ATI did a bad job with respect to OpenGL support at that time...).
