Animations and Transparency

My wish list:
I'm sure this has been requested before but a simple way to animate to avi/mpeg would be brilliant a simple turntable rotating about the pick point would be a great start.
Material\colour transparency would be great too. My surfaces often obscure the underlying point clouds and a 'glass' effect wall\ceiling would be very neat.
Great work though, Im discovering new features by the hour....
