Issues when trying to color point cloud file with satellite imagery

Hello,
I have a .laz point cloud file which I am trying to color with a .tif satellite image using CloudCompare 2.13.2. The original satellite imagery tile is way too large for my .laz file so I cut it to size in QGIS using the cut from an extent tool in QGIS' raster toolbox.
The issue I have is that when importing the.tif file into CC, the colors show up wrong, they're very vivid shades of RGB, but not the same I see in QGIS. I've watched multiple tutorials on the process of draping a point cloud file with realistic colors using satellite imagery but none of the ones I've watched had the .tif file show abnormal colors, they all have the normal "real life" colors as you would see in QGIS. I've inserted a screen capture of the layer I'm having issues with in CC in case it helps.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your time.
