Vector Sum of Distance Clouds?

Post by kkingen »

Is it possible to sum multiple distance clouds? For example, if I have three distance clouds that represent distances in the x, y, and z directions respectively, is it possible to sum the x and y distance clouds so I can view two-dimensional displacement?

If the distances were all on the same cloud (as 3 scalar fields), you could use the SF Arithmetic tool (https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... Arithmetic).

And if these really are 3 different clouds (but with the same 3D points) you can first 'import' 2 scalar fields on one of them with the 'Edit > Scalar fields > Interpolate from another entity' (see https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... her_entity).
